A. Horn, Inc.'s quality makes your projects the best.

What is the value that the work is done right the first time and in the best manner? What is the value of having an exceptionally built structure?

We believe that a high level of quality is critical in the construction industry. When we started our company over 46 years ago, we chose a plumb-bob as our company logo.

plumb-bob[pluhm bob]: a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom, that is suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line.

The plumb-bob represents our on-going commitment to quality, in all aspects of our work. This includes what we construct, how we act on the job site and how we deal with others around us. Some examples include:

  • Our work meets/exceeds ASTM and project standards every time, all the time.
  • We have been nominated for, and received numerous project awards from the Illinois Indiana Masonry Council, including craftsmanship awards.
  • We were one of the first masons in the nation, and are still the only mason contractor in Illinois that has been Certified by the Mason Contractors Association of America.
  • We include a written warranty for all our work. In the history of our company, we have never had a warranty claim.
  • 100% of our foreman have been trained in proper grouting and reinforcement techniques and flashing and moisture control.

How much does it cost on the project for substandard work rework? What does the owner think when the work on the project is shoddy?

Certificated Mason Contractor

In June of 2008, A. Horn, Inc. was one of the first companies in the nation to become a Certificated Mason Contractor. They have maintained their certification since 2008, and we’re happy to have them as a member of the MCAA.
