West Jackson Street Bridge

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The reconstruction of the Jackson Street bridge in Chicago required many different trades.  A. Horn, Inc. was selected to assist on the project by furnishing and installing the new precast, and providing the caulking and cleaning.

Working with our general contractor and materials supplier, we were able to modify aspects of the precast to adjust to unexpected changes on site. Challenges that were overcome included safety concerns (car and pedestrian traffic on bridge, traines below the bridge) and design changes during the construction.
